Pasture Care & Maintenance

We care so much for our sheep that sometimes we forget that we need to care for the land feeding our sheep.

Like your sheep, plant nutrition will play an important part in the health of your flock; it's your sheep's diet. For many of you you may have enough land that your flock's typical grazing means little to the overall effect on your land and perhaps the pages here may not apply to you.

Unlike you lucky few, I have a rather small patch of land with a tight balance between the number of sheep and plants that seem to never produce enough foliage to satisfy who they're feeding -- and they're doing the best they can on land that has never been fertilized until I showed up.

Recognizing and taking some simple action about the moderate needs of your pasture may produce some outstanding results by saving you on feed and producing healthier sheep.
